Treasury of Light
Treasury of Light is a new dance performance I’ve choreographed and scored alongside performing collaborators Maria Fleischman, Dominica Greene, Catheryn Clifford, Ava Scott, and yours truly.
The score I’ve created includes text by Ava Scott, Marguerite Porete, and an unknown 4th century poet, and it includes musical references to J.S. Bach, Einojuhana Rautavaara, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
Only perverts hoard radiance. They have lost the holy feeling in their treasury of light. When they move now they are so desperate. Until they fall in love, no whipping flesh or stinging touch upturns the next sigh. But she, being a mother, rends the veil in a sudden gesture for the sake of a gesture. And they, slipping into each other, have an impossible feeling which cheats fission. The dissolution of all virtues precedes sanctification.
They have no shame, no honor, no fear for what is to come.
Their doors are wide open.
No one can harm them.
